My original plastic bracket cracked on me because of a loose connection to my house siding. I called customer support and admitted I did not properly attach the wall bracket causing the failure. After sending a photo of the damaged part, Customer service offered to replace the plastic bracket at no charge. Although Glahoden offered to replace the bracket, I elected to replace it with their metal bracket. Paying full price for the metal version I was not offered a discount for the metal version over the free replacement. I also had to purchase new hardware since no attachment hardware (bolts and inserts)were included with the new metal bracket.
However, the metal aluminum bracket is a better mounting solution due to its added strength for mounting support. It is also powder coated for durability.
The Glahoden hose reel is now mounted properly again with the improved metal support bracket.
